Inflatable, Imaginative Museum Exhibit from a Creative Inflatable Manufacturer

Guggenheim InflatableThe Guggenheim Goes Inflatable with an Imaginative Museum Exhibit

As the Guggenheim art museum displays the works of the Gutai: Splendid Playground, it seems only fitting that they would move beyond the conventional when presenting the various works of art.

The founder of Japan’s most influential avant-garde collective of the postwar era, Jirō Yoshihara, led his troupe with the mantra, "Do what no one has done before."

In this spirit, the Guggenheim commissioned Landmark Creations as the inflatable manufacturer to "construct" a special enclosure. Jaime Roark, Associate Director, Exhibition Design and Production, explains, "We needed a way to [create] an environment that provided light and sound protection for an object without building a typical drywall enclosure."

Because Landmark was responsive, reliable and supportive of a collaborative and creative process, the Guggenheim was able to accomplish its goal affordably and on time. "[We wanted to] ease construction time and budget compared to building in drywall."

We think this modern-looking, imaginative museum exhibit - that is truly unlike any other - would do the artists of the Gutai proud.

What Others Say About Landmark Creations

- Sara Chadeck, KONO 101.1 FM

"Just wanted to say how much we LOVE our inflatables.  We tested them in our lobby where they were, of course, an instant hit for school group photos. Our leadership was quite pleased with the durability and the realism."

- Mike Hennessy, Carnegie Science Center

"[The logo] helped us create a better presence, improved foot traffic, became a photo backdrop and helped us have the best-looking booth at the events,"

- Laura Repreza, KTLM Telemundo 40

"It was a big success! Customers were stopping to take their pictures with the inflatable pheasant and it helped draw in interstate traffic."

- M. Kettler, Cabela's

"Our tunnel was also a great addition to our pre-game tradition: the Wildcat walk. Our city shuts down three blocks of downtown, and we have hundreds of fans lining the streets with a police escort, while we walk to the stadium."

- Sam Baker, Head Football Coach at Waconia High School

"We usually have to keep the arch up for at least 30 minutes after our races since so many people want to get their photos taken with it!"
